Join us for a walk-through and talk at Catalina Sustainable Home. Griff will discuss the basics of passive solar design and how it works in the home. After the talk, you will be able to walk through the home, look at the features discussed, and ask questions.
The talk will include;
- What exactly is north facing? Don’t all blocks face north?
- What is the difference between Passive Solar Design & Passiv Haus?
- De-mystifying energy star ratings, NatHERS, net zero and carbon positive
- Thermal mass, what is it and how is it used?
- Insulation, when and where do I need to install it.
- Naturally cooling your home – Breeze paths/airflow.
- Construction materials and how they affect your home’s performance.

Door Prize, one subscription to either Sanctuary or Renew magazine will be given away at each talk. Members from the Renew Perth Branch will be at the talks with Sanctuary and Renew magazines for sale at discounted prices.

- Tickets are sold through Humanitix.
- Tickets are $10 per person or $15 for two tickets, including GST plus booking fee.
